As part of a decarbonization pathway, we adopted 100% electric furnace technology—a major shift from traditional glassmaking processes powered by gas or coal.
Designed to reduce direct emissions
Electric furnaces are intended to significantly reduce direct site emissions and pollutants compared to fuel-fired alternatives (including NOx), supporting cleaner production.
Higher thermal efficiency
Client-site figures cite >70% thermal efficiency versus ~45% for gas furnaces, helping reduce energy consumption per tonne of glass produced.
